The top tier of equestrian sport will be making a guest appearance in front of Schönbrunn Palace in the fall of 2025.
Vienna, April 14, 2025. The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT), the premier class of equestrian sport, is bringing the world's show jumping elite to Vienna from September 26 to 28, 2025. The world's best show jumpers will compete against each other in front of the impressive backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Schönbrunn Palace. The three-day event will be accompanied by an exclusive supporting program that highlights the elegant character and traditional equestrian culture of Vienna.
Vienna will be the center of the international show jumping elite
After stops in major cities such as Doha, Mexico City, Shanghai, Madrid, Cannes, Paris, Monaco, London and New York, the Longines Global Champions Tour 2025 is coming to the Austrian capital. “We have been working for many months to bring this incomparable sports and lifestyle event back to the city. Vienna and the Longines Global Champions Tour simply belong together – this is where world-class sport, culture and history come together," said Sonja Klima, initiator and co-organizer of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna.
As an official partner and official timekeeper, Longines also defines the unmistakable signature of the tour in Vienna. A high-class tournament awaits the spectators, with the world's best horse and rider duos competing over a thrilling weekend for the golden ticket to the season's ultimate goal: the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Playoffs in Prague. At the same time, the international teams are competing in the GCL, whose championship culminates in Riyadh and the qualification for the GCL Super Cup in Prague. As an Official Partner of the series, our aim is to bring world-class equestrian sport to iconic locations such as Schönbrunn Palace. The choice of venue underlines the importance of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna as one of the most exclusive events on the international show jumping circuit. “Schönbrunn Palace is not only one of the most important cultural monuments in the world, but will now be the backdrop for an extraordinary equestrian event for the first time. Ticket sales started
Tickets for the Longines Global Champions Tour from September 26 to 28, 2025, are now available in various categories, both as day tickets and for all three days, at oeticket. Over 9,000 spectators will visit the event over the three days of the tournament and experience equestrianism at the highest level in front of the impressive backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace. The roofing of the spectator grandstand means that the tournament can take place regardless of the weather.
