A special foal for a special stage
Vienna, July 23, 2026 – While the world's best show jumpers compete for victories in Vienna, the focus is also on the future of equestrian sport for the first time. The Westphalian Studbook is bringing twelve selected foals to Vienna, considered promising talents of tomorrow. Particularly impressive: an exceptionally marked colt foal, already a crowd favorite and drawing all eyes.
When the world's best show jumpers compete at the Longines Global Champions Tour Vienna | Schönbrunn Palace from September 24 to 27, 2026, the focus will also be on the next generation for the first time. One of Europe's most renowned breeding associations for sport horses, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch, is coming to Vienna and bringing twelve selected foals.
Nobody knows today which of these foals will be fighting for victories in the biggest tournament arenas in the world in a few years. That's exactly what makes their appearance in the ceremonial courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace so special: visitors get to experience the possible champions of tomorrow where top international horses already stand in the show jumping course today.
A look at the next generation of show jumping

A colorful crowd-pleaser
An exceptionally marked foal from the Krehl Stables in Brandenburg is already attracting special attention. With its striking coat markings, the young stallion immediately catches the eye and is likely to quickly become a crowd favorite among many visitors.
But it's not just his appearance that makes him special: his lineage also promises great athletic potential. His parents are also among successful and in-demand sport horse lines. The colt is sired by the strikingly marked J-Nius V.V. Z and out of the sport-successful Kasamona by Kasanova de la Pomme. This gives the young rising star the best prerequisites for a career in show jumping. Perhaps his path will one day lead him back to Vienna, in front of the backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace – no longer as a foal, but as an international top-level sport horse.
In addition to this special foal, other promising young horses will be presented. This includes a colt with a prominent pedigree: his sire is the internationally successful For Pleasure, and his dam is by the world-class stallion Eldorado van de Zeshoek.
The foals will be presented on September 25 as part of the Longines Global Champions Tour Vienna. The auction will take place on September 26 in front of the dressage freestyle in the ceremonial court of Schönbrunn Palace.
